PictureWork produced by a student at Petroc FE college, for the National Trust Blossom Project.
Merlyn runs woodblock printmaking courses from her home in Hartland, North Devon, and in St John's Music and Arts Centre. These courses cater for new and experienced students. New participants will mainly work in black and white and become familiar with woods, inks, papers, tools, tool sharpening, equipment, handprinting and machine printing. The more experienced can experiment with the reduction or multi-block processes and share ideas or change direction. The rugged Atlantic coast can be a marvellous starting point for prints.

A day or weekend course for one person is £250 per day. For two the rate is £140 each per day and three or more people would pay £100 each per day, all materials included. Special rates are available for longer courses, by arrangement, and can include B&B at 2 Harton Manor, The Square, Hartland. (www.twohartonmanor.co.uk).

For further information about the courses in Hartland please contact Merlyn via the contact page.

Longer mini-apprenticeships can be arranged through Vacation With An Artist
